By the trade mark a customer of your company will remember your products & services and a herewith combined promiss of quality. This will work as an incentive to purchase. With the trade mark you receive the right to interdict the usage of a third party's sign which can be confused with your sign.

In principle there are word marks (for linguistic signs), the picture mark (for grafics) or combinations thereof.

How long is the duration of protection?

The duration of a German trade mark is 10 years and can be extended.
